Tess Roby (Montreal):

Tess Roby’s live act includes her brother Eliot Roby on guitar. Having premiered her “Ballad 5” single on the influential Dallas music website Gorilla vs Bear last May, Tess Roby is embarking on her first headlining tour this year. Roby’s single was released by Italians Do It Better, the internationally-acclaimed record label that has had a significant impact on the synthesizer-heavy sound of both dance music and soundtracks of the past decade. Roby’s style fits neatly into their established roster. 

'til Midnight at the Nasher presents live outdoor concerts in the Nasher Sculpture Center garden. At each event, a variety of national and regional musical talent perform followed by film screenings. Guests have the opportunity to visit the Nasher for free, taking in the museum’s renowned collection of modern and contemporary art as well as contemporary exhibitions by some of the most important artists working today.

Boan (Houston)

The Houston-based duo features singer Mariana Saldaña and José Cota and their brand of Spanish-heavy synthesizer-led pop music makes for an extremely intense and energetic live show. 

Jake Schrock (Dallas)

Dallas musician Jake Schrock has performed at the Nasher previously, for a workshop led by Esopus Magazine's Tod Lippy during 2017's Paper Into Sculpture exhibition. Schrock recently released his debut album for the Holodeck record label, based out of Austin, TX. His moody instrumental music is never performed the same way twice and Schrock's subtle improvisational style tricks the audience into believing it was all meticulously premeditated.
