Nasher Prize Dialogues

Nasher Prize Dialogues: Mexico City will focus on socially engaged sculpture in various modes, from social practice outright to objects which engage with themes of monument and document.
The panel will include Mexican artist Pedro Reyes and American artist Sanford Biggers, among others, and will be moderated by Nasher Prize juror Pablo León de la Barra.

Student Centered ‘Zine
Submission period January 1 – February 12, 2017
Open to students ages 14 - 22
Students from around the world are invited to submit artistic work inspired by the Nasher Prize Laureate for publication in ‘zine format. Submissions may include original visual art and photography, poetry, creative essays or musical compositions. Selected submissions will be compiled by Nasher Staff and presented in limited-run print and digital formats to be shared with local and international students.

Student Centered Festival

In celebration of the launch of a student-created ‘zine, the Nasher will host an afternoon featuring music, food, interactive projects, and a student stage open to presentations of art, music, dance, poetry and monologues inspired by themes in Pierre Huyghe’s work.

Nasher Prize Dialogues: Graduate Symposium

Organized by the Nasher Sculpture Center, this symposium offers students a chance to take the Nasher Prize Laureate’s work as inspiration for their own scholarly and creative work. Student presentations and an accompanying publication will expand scholarship on the field of contemporary sculpture and its many forms.
