Tom Jungerberg was a dear friend and colleague of ours at the Nasher Sculpture Center from 2011 – 2015. His work with the museum’s Education Department touched countless lives, from adult learners with whom he shared his love of poetry, to children and families who appreciated the warmth and humor he brought to tours and workshops.
Connecting with Learners
In keeping with Tom’s passion for connecting with learners from every part of our community, we dedicate gifts given in his honor to the Thomas R. Jungerberg Transportation Scholarship. This fund extends access for enthusiastic students and teachers from area schools who would not otherwise be able to visit the museum by providing a stipend to assist with the costs of bus transportation. The response from teachers has been overwhelming, and nearly 3,500 students have benefited from transportation scholarships so far.
These funds have opened the Nasher to students who might otherwise have not been able to visit this space that Tom loved so much. We have received incredible feedback from area teachers and schools. Thank you for making it possible.
