About Analise Minjarez
Analise Minjarez (1990) is an interdisciplinary artist and arts educator from El Paso, TX. She currently lives and works in Dallas, TX. Minjarez’s work explores the transformation, consumption, repurposing, and healing qualities of material in her creative practice. She responds to material through installation, sculpture, drawing, experimental photography, and video. Through her interdisciplinary studio and her lens as a Texas/Mexico fronteriza, Minjarez seeks out the possibilities and the limits of her wonder with nature.
Minjarez received her B.F.A. in Fibers from the University of North Texas in 2013. She recently received her M.F. A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 2022. Minjarez has taught classes at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Latino Cultural Center, Oak Cliff Cultural Center, Oil and Cotton in Dallas, TX and SAY Sí, and the Southwest School of Arts in San Antonio, TX. Most recently, Minjarez has exhibited work at the Nasher Sculpture Museum in Dallas, TX as part of the 2020 Nasher Windows Series and as the 2022 Spring Resident at Sweet Pass Sculpture Studio in Dallas, TX.
