Do you love art? Would you like to meet artists and museum professionals? Would you enjoy learning along with other creative high school students? The Nasher Summer Institute for Teens is a week-long program that exposes students to many aspects of museums and the art world.
The 2024 Summer Institute for Teens is no longer accepting applications.
Participants will:
- Learn about careers in the arts from art-world professionals
- Explore artworks in the Nasher Collection
- Create hands-on projects focused on artistic process with practicing, professional artists
- Exchange ideas with peers interested in the arts
An ideal candidate:
- Shows strong interest in pursuing a college degree or career in art history, studio art, or art education
- Pursues creative interests outside of school assignments
- Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others
Students who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in 2024 may apply. Tuition for accepted participants is free of charge, and includes art supplies, meals, and a transportation stipend.
Priority Application deadline is April 29. Up to 30 students will be accepted.
