Nasher by Moonlight

In honor of the Haas Brothers’ current exhibition at the Nasher, Moonlight, the Nasher Sculpture Center will host a series of meditative events stretching from dusk to nightfall, allowing visitors the opportunity to pause and appreciate the glowing sculptures of twin brothers Nikolai and Simon Haas during nightfall. 

Slow flow yoga for all levels will be led by Ellee McMeans alongside a restorative sound bath by Nikole Swize from 8 - 9 p.m. Bring your yoga mat, come early and stay after to experience the art on view. 

Registration is $5 for Nasher Members and $10 for Non-members. Ticket price includes one complimentary wellness drink. Other drink options will be available for purchase. Advance registration requested.


ABOUT NIKOLE

Nikole Swize has been exploring vibrational sound therapy since 2016 but her love of music began in elementary school. She played piano and practiced drums, bells, the tuba and the cello.  She owned Yoga Up Studio (an aerial yoga studio for kids and later adults too) from 2016-2023 and continues teaching aerial yoga, restorative yoga and sound meditation classes weekly at @yamdallas and @bluefeatheraerial  Nikole is also a lover of visual art. She hosted mobile art birthday parties for kids inside a 1976 Airstream and taught art at The Greenhill School for 10 years. 

ABOUT ELLEE

Ellee McMeans is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and arts administrator hailing from Dallas, Texas. In her classes, Ellee’s backgrounds in art history and yoga instruction merge in a confluence of creative, intuitive movement and exploration of form. She strives to create a sanctuary for her students to connect mind and body, discover their own creativity, and unashamedly take up space.
